Overall Responsibility:
The Internet Operations Manager will be responsible for managing Nikon Inc.’s internet operations across the enterprise. The Internet Operations Manager will report to the Corporate and Internet Communications Manager, working to set strategic direction for Nikon Inc.’s internet presence – both business and consumer targeted sites. On a day to day basis the Internet Operations Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and measurement of all internet operations working closely with the Communication, Marketing, Sales, Service and other functional areas to ensure internet operations are helping the enterprise to achieve corporate goals and objectives. The Internet Operations Manager will oversee all third-party vendor relationships involving the operations of Nikon Inc.’s internet environment and will set the best practices for the organization. The manager will also closely interface with the General Manager of IT to ensure all security guidelines and requirements are being effectively met. The manager will also supervise the internet communications group to organization key projects and initiatives, as well as oversee the management/allocation of group resources including reviewing project estimates, identifying and allocating resources (design, content, administrative, etc.) conducting status meetings, and identify lessons learned/best practices.Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Proactively work with key functional areas throughout the enterprise to identify, development and deploy leading-edge internet environments and applications
- Manager all third party internet based agency / partner relationships
- Develop best practices and standards for the use of internet environments and applications
- Responsible for key aspects of project management including project specification, scheduling, coordinating designers/programmers, identifying content needs
- Coordinate activities of project teams, following up on all action items and ensuring that project tasks are completed on time; escalating issues as needed.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of the website content management systems.
- Monitor site traffic and other key success metrics and adjust web tactics accordingly.
- Responsible for management and improvement of user experience.
- Conduct development team meetings, create action items, Work with IT Department to ensure the security of online applications, summarize, communicate and create contingency plans for team
- Maintain budgets, schedules, resources; review invoices, serve as lead contact for vendors.
Ancillary Responsibilities:
- Help to identify and execute opportunities to further the professional development the team
- Manage Internet Communications team; assist the Corporate and Internet Communications Manager in the development of long-term online marketing strategies for all internet initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and knowledge of content & digital asset management systems
- Knowledge of internet project management best practices, procedures and tactics
- Knowledge of interface design, programming, interactive and Internet technologies
- Strong decision making aptitude, self-motivated, creative and flexible, team leader skills
- Quantitative business analysis with qualitative consumer understanding ability
- Excellent communication and presentation and organizational skills with detail orientation
Education, Skills & Experience:
- 6-10 years exp. in internet production, management and/or development and 2-4 years Supervisory exp.
B.A. in Marketing or technology related field with an MBA preferred but not required
