Goal
- To get a perspective on how an in-house Graphics/Production team works.
- To develop verbal and written communication skills within a corporate environment.
- To get experience working with Marketing teams on collateral print projects.
- To get hands-on experience designing and producing a printed piece.
- To get experience checking proofs and on-site press check approvals
Overall Responsibility:
Work with Graphics Supervisor to assist with day-to-day functions of archiving, layout corrections, trafficking, electronic mechanical files and design.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with archiving images and art files.
- Traffic work from art to production to marketing.
- Make corrections on art files and layouts.
- Collect files for printing.
- Design print pieces as assigned.
- Check proofs and attend press checks as required.
Ancillary Responsibilities
- All other duties as required or needed.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Quark (or InDesign), Photoshop and Illustrator
- Computer literate on Mac platforms
- Must be available to work a minimum 3 hour block of time for at least 12 hours per week
